Our Story

In 2021, as we embarked on our own journey as a build-to-rent developer in Melbourne, we noticed a glaring absence of property managers specialising in entire apartment buildings in Australia. 

We observed a highly fragmented and disconnected service industry dominated by managers that are often under-resourced and inexperienced, resulting in asset underperformance, unnecessary cost to the asset owner and a poor resident experience. 

With the rise of the build-to-rent in Australia and a strong appetite from private investors to own apartment buildings, we believed it was the right time to establish Alt Living Management as a new specialist property manager focused on the build-to-rent sector.
